April 3rd 2023

 

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tim Meyer. Council Members present Julie Cole, Ken Williams, Rob Waletzko and Ben Gemar.   Guests present were Eric King, Tim Jordan, Ron Brewer, Jerry Gemar, Lynn Kaspari – Ransom County Gazette and Janna Miller.

To approve the minutes from March 6th 2023 meeting and March 15th 2023 special meeting.                                             All Aye

 

In old business, no updates on the Riverbank project.

 

702 Oak Street, Leadbetter reported that this property may be in the process of being sold.

 

Jerry Gemar reported that he received a building permit from Executive Properties for Lots 7-8 in Block 2 of Commercial Park 2nd Addition.

 

Discussion was held about the warranty work on the 3rd Ave lift station.  Eric King will discuss with Tracy Eslinger with Moore Engineering.

To table the deadline on the Lots 3-4 in Block 3 Commercial Park 2nd Addition, until May meeting so Jeff Leadbetter-City Attorney has time to review the contract.

During the Mayor Communications, he gave a flood outlook.

Housing Authority – the closing has been postponed.

Library – they have received some applications and will be starting the interview process.

Park Board – they have received the ND Heritage Grant it is a 50/50 Grant they will be using for new camping sites, sidewalk over the dike, and new playground equipment.
