PROPERTY FOR SALE ON BIDS
The City of Lisbon will accept bids to purchase and rehabilitate property until 4:00 p.m. on May 6, 2021, for the following property owned by the City:
• Lot and buildings located at 402 Rose Street, described as Lot Seven (7), Block One (1), Allen’s First Addition to the City of Lisbon
• Contents of garage at 402 Rose Street
Bids must include a cash offer for the property. Bids for the contents in the garage on the property must be separate from bids for the real estate.
The property will be available for inspection between 2 and 5 p.m. on May 1, 2021.
Bids for the real estate must include a date for demolition of the residence now located on the premises, and details regarding cleanup of the lot (timing and disposal of debris). Bids must also include plans for building a new residence on the lot, which residence must be ready for occupancy within eighteen months of the date the City accepts the proposal. Failure to do so will result in the return of the lot to the City.
All building plans must comply with current City zoning regulations.
Building permits must be obtained both for removal of the current residence and building of the new residence.
Bids must be mailed or delivered to the City Auditor’s office at 423 Main Street no later than 4:00 p.m. on May 6, 2021. The bids will be opened at that time. Bids must be in writing and should be sealed. Bids should list the name, address, and phone number of bidder. Bidders need not be present at the bid opening.
Successful bidder will receive a Quitclaim Deed and have access to the property upon full payment of the amount bid. The City will not provide an abstract of title for the property.
Successful bidder may not sell or transfer the property until the new residence is complete and ready for habitation.
The property is being sold AS IS and without any warranties or representations, expressed or implied.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
