The meeting via zoom was called to order by Mayor Tim Meyer.  All council members were present. Guests in attendance were Tim Jordan, Jerry Ramerman, Don Eppler, Kristina Dick, Mattie Richardson – Ransom County Gazette, Tracy Eslinger-Moore Engineering, Lindsay McNally, Shannon Thompson and Bethany Foyt.

To approve the minutes from May 4th, 2020 meeting.                                                                                                           All Aye

Jerry Gemar reported there has been no contact from the resident at 402 Rose St regarding the condemnation.

To approve waiting until July 1, 2020 to begin the condemnation proceedings on the 402 Rose St property.

To approve the extension of building permit number 2753 until August 31, 2020.                                                      All Aye

To allow Finance Committee to advertise for Deputy Auditor position for two weeks.                                             All Aye

To approve Aaron and Erin Wilhelmi to have a  garden plot on Lot 5 Block 2 of Gardners 1st Addition, $25 per year, with a stipulation that if it is not maintained it is their responsibility to turn it back into grass.  They will have to request every year.

To accept the corrected plats that removes the utility easements on the LBJ Lots.                                                All Aye

To approve homeowner at 105 14th Ave E to plant five trees north of their property line with stipulations, they must stay 10 feet from any of the utilities and must mow behind the tree line.                                                                                    All Aye

To approve local bars/restaurants to utilize their outside property for seating.  With the following stipulations, must be barricaded and approved by Chief Jordan, must comply with quiet time at 11pm, this resolution will extend until August 3rd, 2020.                                                                                                                                                                                    All Aye

To approve the extra cost of fire hydrant extension up to $1,585.00 each, maybe more than 1 site.                                                                                                                                                                                  All Aye

To approve not replacing the water valve at 5th Street and Main Street, due to the current age of valve and size.

To approve the payment of removing and replacing the storm lines that were in the way, of replacing the water valve at the intersection of 4th and Main, amount of $3,540.00                                                                                               All Aye

To allow Jerry Ramerman to approve up to $10,000 total for any change orders on the water valve project, if he exceeds that amount, he will have to get additional approval from council.                                                                            All Aye
