Hospice of the Red River Valley

Hospice of the Red River Valley is hosting a free six-week class series focused on caregivers residing in North Dakota. Powerful Tools for Caregivers is designed to provide caregivers with the confidence and support to better care for a loved one and themselves. All caregivers are welcome to participate, including those who care for a spouse, partner, friend or a child with special needs.

Caregivers will learn valuable skills whether you provide care at home or in a care facility; whether down the block or miles away.

Classes are held virtually on Thursdays from 1:30-3 p.m., Oct. 15-Nov. 19. Attendees will join the class by videoconference.

The classes give you tools to help:
-Reduce stress
-Improve self-confidence
-Manage time, set goals and solve problems
-Better communicate your feelings
-Make tough decisions
-Locate helpful resources

Head downtown in your Halloween costumes and trick or treat with local businesses. There will be stops from Lisbon Body Shop to Farmer’s Union Insurance.

Sponsored by Lisbon Pool Preservers – Celebrate a spooky night of socially distant Halloween fun. Join us for Casper, drive-in movie style (behind the gym). The Scenic will be serving up popcorn from 6-7:30pm. Grab your cozy car gear, hot fresh popcorn and sweets, then head on up for your Halloween movie treat! Please use the East entrance to the fairground and you will be directed to a parking spot behind the gym. This is a FREE WILL offering event.
*Smaller cars will be parked toward the front, larger toward the back.
**Please turn off your vehicle headlights for the movie.
