 Safe Spot Swap

Purpose:

The Safe Spot Swap is a designated area intended to provide a safe and neutral location for:

• Online marketplace transactions
• Trades or private party sales
• Child custody exchanges
• Other person-to-person exchanges where safety is a concern

The goal is to reduce fraudulent transactions, theft, and robberies, and to promote overall safety for residents.

Rules and Expectations:

Legal Items Only

1. • The exchange of illegal items is strictly prohibited.
   • This includes but is not limited to: drugs, weapons, alcohol, or any other unlawful goods.

In-Person Transactions Only

1. • All exchanges must be conducted face-to-face.
   • No unattended drop-offs or pickups are allowed.

Custody Exchanges

1. • This location may be used as a neutral custody exchange site.
   • However, it is not a drop-off location. Children may not be left unattended at any time.

Video Surveillance

1. • The area is under video surveillance, but is not monitored 24/7. A staff person is not assigned to view the footage or transactions on a regular basis.
   • While surveillance helps deter crime, users are responsible for their own safety and the outcome of any transaction.
